Department of pedagogy, psychology and physical culture

Today, the department of "Pedagogy, psychology and physical culture" has its own glorious history.   Established in 1995 under the Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages, the department of "Pedagogy and Psychology" has experienced teachers who made a great contribution to the formation of the "Preschool Education with English Language" faculty: Professor U.O. Otavalieva, associate professor Yu.N.Abdullaev, associate professor F.B.Valikhodjayeva.
Prof. M.M. Makhmudova, professor E.A. Iskandarov, professor H.Q. Boriev, M.U. Gadjieva, B.Sh. Sharafov, professor A.I. Saidov were the leaders of the department in different periods.
The Department of "Pedagogy, Psychology and Physical Culture" was reorganized in August 2024 by the decision of the Supervisory Board of the Institute, and from this date PhD, Professor D.M. Begmatova was appointed as the head of the department.
Currently, the department has 27 professors, including 3 doctor of science professors, 5 doctor of philosophy associate professors in pedagogy and psychology, 1 doctor of philosophy in psychology (PhD), 4 senior teacher, 11 assistant teachers, 3 trainee teachers are working.
The average age of professors is 43 years, the scientific potential of the department is 33% in the main state.
