Department of Integrated English Language Courses

The Department was established as the Department of Integrated English Language Studies pursuant to Resolution No. 1 of the meeting of the Institute Council held on August 29, 2026, and officially commenced its activities on September 2, 2026 under the Faculty of English Philology and Translation Studies.
The primary focus of the Department is to provide students with effective English language instruction based on modern pedagogical and innovative technologies, develop their integrated language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, and enhance the effectiveness of independent learning and practical classes.
During the 2026/2027 academic year, a total of 29 faculty members are working at the Department. Of these, 24 are full-time faculty members, while 5 work on an internal part-time basis. The academic staff consists of 1 Professor, 2 Associate Professors, 3 Senior Lecturers holding PhD degrees, 3 Senior Lecturers, 7 Assistant Lecturers, and 11 Trainee Lecturers.
The Department places particular emphasis on the effective organization of the educational process, improvement of course curricula and teaching materials, integration of modern international practices into the teaching process, and enhancement of the professional and academic capacity of its faculty members.
The Department’s faculty regularly organize open classes, academic and methodological seminars, master classes, peer lesson observations, research activities with students, and independent learning sessions. Modern information and communication technologies, interactive teaching methods, and digital educational resources are increasingly integrated into the educational process.
In the new academic year, the Department is consistently implementing its objectives aimed at further improving the quality of education, enhancing students’ practical English language proficiency, providing education in accordance with international standards, and strengthening academic and methodological activities.
