As part of the 7th Spartakiad, an inter-faculty competition in athletics was held at the institute. It was attended by students of the faculties, who demonstrated their activism.

According to the results of the competition, the following places are awarded within the faculties:

the 1st place - the Faculty of Oriental Languages;
the 2nd place - the Faculty of Romance and Germanic Languages;
the 3rd place - the Faculty of English-II. 

Such sports events are regularly organized at Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages. As it was previously reported The Dean's Cup football tournament was held on April 14 at the Faculty of Joint Education Programs. We look forward to the organization of similar sports events by the deans of other faculties of the institute.
