As it was reported, on May 10-18, 2022 the special study program on "Uzbek language and culture" was held at Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages in cooperation with Indiana University, the USA.

The same course had been organized several years ago at Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages, and every year foreign students used to get acquainted with the Uzbek language and culture in Samarkand.

The current program includes the cultural and historical heritage of our ancestors, historical monuments, sights in Samarkand, the customs and traditions of our people.

Nowadays students from Indiana University are being taught at the special intensive course; "Uzbek language and culture" at Samarkand State Institute of Foreign languages.

In addition, the professors and teachers of Samarkand State Institute of foreign languages have been delevering lectures and seminars on the Uzbek culture and language for the US students.

On 17 May a senior teacher of Indiana University Malik Khodjaev delivered a lecture and presentation for the teachers and professors of Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages about the education system of the USA and the teaching of Uzbek as a foreign language in the US Universities.
