Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages continues to lead the region in establishing partnerships with foreign universities. To date, the institute has fostered international collaborations with nearly 100 prestigious foreign universities and educational organizations, including institutions from South Korea.
On June 26, the institute hosted a delegation from the Hyundai Motor Chung Mong Koo Foundation and Konkuk University from South Korea. The delegation, led by Hyundai Motor Chung Mong Koo Foundation's Chairman of the Board of Directors, Chung Moosung, met with the Rector of Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages, Bahodir Kholikov.
During the meeting, the parties discussed implementing teacher and student exchange programs, developing joint educational programs, enhancing Korean language instruction, and engaging qualified Korean specialists in the educational process.
Chung Moosung also proposed offering employment opportunities at the Hyundai Motor Chung Mong Koo Foundation to qualified graduates of the institute's Korean language program. At the conclusion of the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed to formalize the collaboration in education and research between the parties.
