Department of German language and literature

The Department of German Philology has been functioning since the formation of the faculty of foreign languages of the Samarkand state University. Since 1994, the Department continues its work in the Samarkand state Institute of foreign languages.

In different years the Department has worked with scholars in Germanic studies. Such as :Professor M. M. Nosarev, Professor M. sh. Mamatov, Professor B. T. Tursunov, Assoc.G. I. Ergashev, honored scientific worker of Uzbekistan and academician of the Russian Academy of arts A. M.Bushuy and others.

The Department of German Language and Literature has 33 faculty members. Of these, 24 teachers work in the main state, other 7 - part-time on an internal basis and 2 - on an external part-time basis.
