The department’s scientific focus is titled “Typology of text and Its Linguistic, phraseological and syntactic features.” Professors and lecturers are actively conducting research in this direction. Independent researchers at the department are also writing their dissertations within this framework. The professors and lecturers of the department regularly publish articles in international and local scientific publications, including journals listed by the Higher Attestation Commission (HAC). The department’s overall scientific potential is 20%.

International Scientific-Practical Conference 
On November 8-9, 2024, the Department organized an international scientific-practical conference on the topic "Philology, Methodology, Translation Studies: Current Issues in modern science." Scholars, university professors, and students from higher education institutions of several countries participated in the event. Nearly 200 articles were published in a collection.
