Scientific methodical activity
The scientific potential of professors and teachers working at the department is 30.5%. According to the department, the plan determines the implementation of state scientific and technical programs, business contracts, licensing agreements, and international grants. In the 2022-2023 academic year, the department's teacher T. Mukumov took part in a week-long training course at the Versailles Academy INSPE in France under the ERASMUS+ program in March. In the current academic year, the department's teacher I.I. Mamarizoev went to the University of Poitiers in France for 6 months to continue his studies on the basis of academic mobility. Information and communication technologies and modern pedagogical technologies are widely used by professors and teachers during the lesson. For the 2024-2025 academic year, the department conducts classes in the following educational areas: 60111800 - Foreign Language and Literature (English), 60112600 - Foreign Language in Preschool and Primary Education (English), 60230100 - Philology and Language Teaching (English), 60230200 - Translation Theory and Practice (English), 60320100-Journalism (International Journalism), 61010500-Guide-Interpreter (English), 60230100-Philology and Language Teaching (German, French, Spanish, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic), "Second Foreign Language" (English, German, French). In these areas, all educational resources are posted in courses open in the HEMIS information system. Students are 100% provided with textbooks and teaching aids on the subjects taught at the department. In the 2024-2025 academic year, it is planned to publish 2 textbooks, 6 methodological manuals and 1 monograph. The recruitment of applicants was carried out in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 19, 2021 No. PQ-5117 "On measures to raise the activities to popularize the study of foreign languages in the Republic of Uzbekistan to a qualitatively new level" and dated December 24, 2021 "On measures to provide financial independence to state higher educational institutions" and decisions No. PQ-61 Resolution No. PF-60 dated January 28, 2022 "On the Development Strategy of the New Uzbekistan for 2022-2026". Based on the plan, the department carries out retraining of the teaching staff and their advanced training.
1. Associate Professor of the Department Sh. Mamatkulova is preparing a textbook for students of non-philological profile. In the 2023-2024 academic year, Associate Professor of the Department S. Abdurakhmanov published the textbooks "Leseverstehen für Studenten" and "Deutsch für Studenten".
2. Research work at the department is carried out by 2 main doctoral students and 10 independent researchers.
3. Over the past 3 years, 8 professors and teachers of the department defended their candidate dissertations.
