On June 16 of this year, Uktam Bakhodirovich Shukurov, a researcher at Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages, successfully defended the dissertation titled "Linguistic tools shaping the cognitive-pragmatic content of literary discourse (with examples from English and Uzbek languages)" to obtain the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in philological sciences, specializing in 10.00.06 - "Comparative Literature, Contrastive Linguistics, and Translation Studies".
