Abdullah Qodiriy is in our hearts forever

Abdullah Qodiriy was an Uzbek playwright, poet, writer, and literary translator. Qodiriy was one of the most influential Uzbek writers of the 20th century. He introduced realism into Uzbek literature through his historical novels and influenced many other Central Asian novelists.
On the occasion of the 128th anniversary of Abdullah Qodiriy, a spiritual and educational event was organized at the Faculty of English Philology and Translation Studies, Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages. The event was opened by the Vice-Rector of the Institute Otabek Gaybullayev, who spoke about the role of the writer in the Uzbek people and literature.
