Today, on July 9, the Presidential election of the Republic of Uzbekistan is taking place. Voting commenced at 8:00 a.m. in all polling stations across Samarkand region and will continue until 8:00 p.m. Voting is conducted in accordance with the requirements specified in the Election Code.

In particular, voting started today at Polling Station 67 located at Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages after the singing of the national anthem. This polling station serves the "Koksaroy" and "Mustaqililik" neighborhoods of Samarkand city, with a total of 1712 registered voters.

Furthermore, there were 83 early voters, and mobile ballot boxes were made available for elderly and disabled citizens who are unable to visit the polling station in person.
