Master’s degree is a higher education that provides basic and practical knowledge on a certain specialty, with a minimum undergraduate study period of two years.
Graduates of the Master's degree program are issued a Master's degree on a particular specialty prepared on the results of the state certification and receive a state diploma.
The diploma of state gives the owners the right to engage in professional activities or to continue their education at the next stages of their education in accordance with the chosen direction and specialty.
Masters:
• independently conducted research scientific ,professional, and educational activities on their specialty;
• to use the modern information and communication technology in professional activity;
Master`s degree has the following types of professional activity according to his specialty, scientific and scientific-pedagogical preparation:
scientific -pedagogical;
scientific-creative;
Scientific research and experience;
Project-design;
Project-technology;
They can use management in production as well as other activities in accordance with the major of bachelor's degree,
Masters’ rights:
-Masters acquire knowledge in accordance with modern trends in education, science, culture, technology, economy, social and other fields;
-take an active part in the consideration and resolution of important issues relating to the activities of higher educational institutions;
-using services of information and resource centers of higher education institutions, including educational and methodical and scientific literature, as well as other types of services in accordance with the charter of higher educational institution is free of charge;
- participation in scientific researches, conferences and symposiums;
- presenting their research works in scientific editions;
- practicing in foreign and republic educational (scientific) institutions in accordance with the recommendation of the academic council of the higher education institution, to be trained if they have relevant agreements with these institutions to undergo internships or to complete the master's thesis;
- making complaints to the relevant agencies in case of disagreement with the decisions of the higher education institution administration;
- Students have the right to receive scholarship in accordance with the order of the legality and scholarships to be provided by legal and physical persons applying for the study.
A Master's degree student may have other rights as defined in the law or the Charter of the higher education institution.
Master’s obligations:
- mastering and acquiring the knowledge provided by the curriculum and programs of the specialty of master`s degree;
- fulfilling all types of assignments envisaged by the curriculum within specified time, as well as prepare master dissertation;
-observing the requirements of the charter and internal procedures of higher education institution.
-Masters may be entrusted with other obligations under the law.
Organizing educational process at the Master’s Degree
The educational process at the Master’s Degree is carried out in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No 343 dated August 16, 2001 "On Approval of State Educational Standards of Higher Education" and also by the State Authorized Body for Higher Education Management The approved master's specialization is organized according to the curriculum and program.
Taking into account the specifics of the educational process and terms of training (3 years), in coordination with the ministries, state committees and departments with higher education, the Ministry of Higher and Specialized Secondary Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan Modifications and additions may be made by the Department to curricula and programs of some Master's Degree specialties.
The following requirements must be done for organizing educational process at the Master’s Degree:
providing higher education institutions with scientific and pedagogical cadres on the Master’s Degree specialties, including providing with professors, docents, corresponding to the specialization and major of teaching cadres;
organizing theoretical, laboratory classes, research work, including the availability of necessary educational and methodological and material and technical basis for their preparation in accordance with the requirements of master dissertations;
availability of contracts and agreements between these organizations and higher education institutions (faculties, departments) for the implementation of internships, internships and to complete experimental test parts of Master's dissertations in the organizations in accordance with curricula and programs;
The process of preparing masters is based on the hourly basis of scientific institutions of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, leading scientists of the network scientific research and design institutions as well as foreign scientists, highly qualified and experienced professionals.
The activity of the master student on educational-methodical, scientifically-research, pedagogical, practical, internship and preparation of the master's thesis is carried out according to the schedule of work of master's student according to the appendix N 2 to Provision
The content of the calendar work plan of the Masters Degree student is developed jointly with the academic director and approved by the vice-rector for academic affairs (deputy director) of the higher educational institution. A Masters Degree student reports at the department meeting on the implementation of his / her calendar plan each month.
At the end of each academic semester in the meeting of the teaching and methodical council of the faculty (in the magistracy department), the head of the department reports on the fulfillment of the calendar plan of the master student.
The Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Education" and "On the National Program of Personnel Training", the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the System of Preparation and Certification of Higher Qualification Scientific and Scientific- On measures to further improve the Master's degree in the system of higher education of the Republic of Uzbekistan and increase its effectiveness ", dated July 24, 2012 № UP-4456" On further perfection " On the introduction of amendments and supplements to certain resolutions of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan (the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan " is announced:
1. To approve the Regulation on the Masters Degree according to the appendix.
2. To guide masters dissertations from the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, ministries and departments with higher education institutions, and other organizations with highly qualified personnel. To attract highly qualified specialists and to create the necessary conditions for their internships and internships, and to coordinate their efforts to ensure that the master's dissertations are completed.
3. Ministries and agencies within a month shall bring their regulations into line with this Resolution.
4. Control of execution of this resolution is assigned to the deputy prime minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan A.I. Ikramov.
