Scientific methodical activity
The priority area of research activity of the department is "Text Linguistics and Methods of Teaching a Foreign Language", and the staff of the department is working on problems on this topic. Within the framework of the priority scientific direction of the department, professors and teachers of the department regularly publish scientific articles and defend many master's dissertations and bachelor’s dissertations.
The department has developed a strategic plan for the training and development of research and teaching staff for 2020-2021. Accordingly, special attention was paid to the following:
• Involvement of independent researchers and talented young teachers of the department in doctoral studies in order to develop the scientific potential of the department,
• Proper organization of the activities of teachers of the department in the scientific community of the faculty in their chosen field of study,
• Formation of a database of scientific articles and scientific theories in the scientific direction of the department "Text Linguistics and Methods of Teaching a Foreign Language",
• Activities such as conducting research on current issues of modern linguistics and the scientific direction of the department and the publication of their results in national and international scientific sources.
The department has a plan of scientific research and scientific-methodical seminar.
An annual plan for working with gifted students has been developed and is being implemented during the 2020-2021 academic year. In particular, a list of gifted students was formed and attached to the professors and teachers of the department. Each gifted student chooses a topic of interest and lists it for the responsible person and works on the topic under the guidance of attached professors and teachers throughout the year.
Scientific potential of professors and teachers of the department.
The staff of the department consists of 26 professors and teachers working in 27 states. There are 2 professors, 4 associate professors, 10 senior teachers, 10 assistant teachers and trainee teachers. The scientific potential of the department is 31%.
