The professors and faculty members of the Department actively participate in research activities. In accordance with the Department’s research plan, scientific conferences and seminars are regularly organized. The professors, faculty members, and students of the Department regularly participate in international and national scientific and practical conferences and publish their research articles in academic journals.

The Department has established a system for working with talented students. In order to develop their abilities in various areas of linguistics, oral and written translation, literary and poetic translation, as well as academic writing, round-table discussions and academic dialogues are organized. Selected students are involved in clubs according to their talents and interests, and academic supervisors are assigned to guide them in their areas of interest.

Effectiveness of Research Activities

This year, as a result of the research activities carried out at the Department, textbooks, methodological manuals, brochures, and conference papers were prepared and published. The results of the research were published in international academic journals and presented at national scientific conferences.

The following educational and methodological publications, brochures, and lecture materials are particularly noteworthy:

• Abdunazarova Z.I. and Sobirova F.U. published the educational and methodological manual “Modern Linguistics.” Samarkand: SamSIFL, 2026. Published in English, 135 pages.
• Abdunazarova Z.I. published the educational and methodological manual “English for Academic Purposes,” designed for master’s students to improve their research skills. Samarkand: SamSIFA, 2026. Published in English, 400 pages.

Implementation of Innovative Ideas and Developments

The Department’s faculty members regularly visit general education schools in Nurobod District to provide methodological and practical assistance to teachers and students. As part of this cooperation, the faculty conduct open lessons, practical classes, seminars, and consultations aimed at improving the quality of foreign language teaching and developing students’ language skills.

Particular attention is paid to providing methodological support to teachers, exchanging professional experience, and introducing modern teaching methods and technologies into the educational process. Additional classes, educational activities, and various academic meetings are organized for students to increase their interest in learning foreign languages.
