The Head of our state put forward five important initiatives aimed at organizing work in the social and spiritual-educational spheres based on a new system:
• The first initiative is to increase young people’s interest in music, painting, literature, theater, and other forms of art;
• The second initiative is to create necessary conditions for the physical development of young people and the realization of their abilities in sports;
• The third initiative is aimed at ensuring the effective use of computer technologies and the internet among the population and youth;
• The fourth initiative is to organize systematic work to enhance the spirituality of young people and widely promote reading culture among them;
• The fifth initiative is to ensure women’s employment.
In order to further improve students’ political and legal literacy, as well as to inform them about the ongoing political, social, economic processes in our country, positive reforms in the education sector, and various events taking place abroad, the faculty staff together with the “Youth Affairs” department of the institute regularly conduct “Information and Mentorship Hours.”
“Cultural Life” of the Department
The department regularly organizes cultural and educational events, to which renowned scientists, writers, poets, and artists are invited. Each year, together with students of the Russian Philology program, various cultural and mass events are held, including theatrical performances, KVN competitions, briefings, open lessons, Russian Language and Literature Days, and celebrations dedicated to Russian culture and art.
Students are also introduced to cultural values by attending concerts, theater performances, museums, and exhibitions together with their teachers.
