As it is known, the next summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization will be held in Samarkand region in 2022, and now all officials in Samarkand are taking a great deal of effort to organize and hold a high-level international summit. 
A number of tasks have been set to further improve the knowledge and skills of experienced professors and students who have mastered foreign languages at Samarkand State University, Samarkand  State Institute of Foreign Languages,   and the Silk Road International Tourism University in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 5636-F "On measures to prepare for the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Samarkand in 2022" dated February 23, 2021. 
In order to ensure the implementation of the tasks set out in the decree, an online meeting was held today, April 14, with the participation of Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education Komiljon Karimov. It was attended by officials of all higher education institutions in Samarkand, including representatives of the Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages.
During the meeting, the parties identified future plans and tasks to ensure the quality of services provided by interpreters, tour guides who accompany foreign delegations, and observers in the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Samarkand in 2022.
