May 9th is the Day of Memory and Honor in Uzbekistan. On this day, thousands of people in Uzbekistan place flowers at the Mother Monument, paying tribute to the memory of those who sacrificed their lives in the Second World War. Furthermore, on this occasion, veterans and distinguished individuals are also honored and visited.

In this regard, today the representatives of Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages visited 20 honored professor-teachers who worked at the institute for many years and retired. They were recognized for demonstrating the virtues of humanity that are cherished by our people.
