As part of the "Year of Attention and Quality Education," our Honorable President's initiative to enhance the quality of foreign language education in public schools has led to an elevated focus on teaching foreign languages and comprehensive proficiency in two foreign languages for each graduating student.
Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages continues to strengthen international partnerships, collaborating with prestigious educational institutions and influential educational organizations worldwide. This cooperation extends beyond the republic and our region, encompassing public schools as well.
Starting from February 2023, the 32nd school in Oqdaryo district has introduced French as a second language. The initiative involves highly skilled volunteer professors, educators with an international language proficiency level of C1, and doctoral candidates with overseas research experience. Their scholarly contributions are directly integrated into the teaching process.
Furthermore, the institute has generously provided the school with published textbooks and literary works from France, enhancing the learning experience for French language learners.
It is important to note that German language courses have also been introduced in a total of 9 colleges and technical schools across Samarqand region. These courses are structured in a way that each group consists of up to 15 students, who engage in learning outside of traditional classroom settings.
Specialized textbooks and literary materials have been introduced from abroad. Students enrolling in the German language courses are admitted from A1 proficiency level and are trained up to B2 proficiency level. This process is continuously ongoing, with the main objective being to equip young learners with comprehensive German language skills that will facilitate employment opportunities in Germany.
