According to the Presidential Decree No. 60 "On additional measures to ensure the academic and organizational-managerial independence of public higher education institutions" dated January 1, 2022, each public institution was granted financial independence, and boards of trustees in public higher education institutions was abolished, as well as Supervisory Boards was established without the status of a legal entity, consisting of at least 70% of the relevant ministries, departments, staffing clients, public representatives, and stakeholders.
In this regard, today, April 23, the 2nd meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages was held. The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, Chairman of the Supervisory Board Rahimjon Hakimov and members of the Board.
During the meeting, the following issues were discussed:
Approving "Long-term and medium-term strategic development program the institute, including targeted measures to take a place in the ranking of internationally recognized universities";
Approving "Key performance indicators for managers and professors at the institute";
Approving the "Regulations on the procedure for the allocation of financial bonuses for teachers and staff at the expense of extra-budgetary funds"
Strengthening the material and technical base and the progress of current construction work at the institute, as well as the implementation of the tasks set for the institute, the status of achieving targets, new positions in the organizational structure of the institute from the academic year 2022/2023, establishing new BA programs in the academic year 2022-2023 were discussed at the meeting.
