The republican essay contest was organized under the motto of "We will build a new Uzbekistan on our own" at Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages. At this contest the most talented students attended from all the faculties. Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, the rector of Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages, delivered a speech on studying the history of our country, national and universal values for the young, and the rector mentioned opportunities in the country for the young to demonstrate their talents, and full support for talented young people who have a wide point of view. 

Contestants wrote their essays in a set time, and their work was checked and judged fairly.  According to the results,  N.Alimova, a student of the Faculty of Romano-Germanic Languages, took 1st place, Pak Tatyana, a student of the Faculty of Oriental Languages, took 2nd place, and I.Mahammatkulova, a student of the Faculty of English Philology and Translation Studies,  won 3rd place. The winners and active participants were awarded valuable prizes.
