Extensive renovation works are currently being carried out at the existing 4-story student accommodation, which was previously in an unusable condition. This accommodation, located at 43 Gagarin Street, is designed to house 350 students of Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages.

In the presence of the institute's rector, Ilkhomjon Tukhtasinov, the officials inspected the progress of the renovation project. They assessed the quality of the newly installed bunk beds and equipment in the rooms and also discussed plans for the installation of solar panels in the building.
