In accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan titled "On the Parameters of State Admission Orders to Higher Education Institutions for the 2024/2025 Academic Year," 10 state-funded grants have been allocated nationwide for the Uzbek Language and Literature program specifically for young Uzbeks living abroad.
Applications for the state grants are open from September 30, 2024, to October 20, 2024.
To be eligible to participate in the competition for these state grants, applicants must meet the following requirements:
– The applicant, or their parents or grandparents, must identify as Uzbek or Karakalpak from an ethnic, linguistic, or cultural-historical perspective and be a foreign citizen or stateless person, as confirmed by relevant documents. They must have been born in and lived in Uzbekistan but are now residing abroad permanently as foreign citizens or stateless persons.
– The applicant must be a foreign citizen who has registered for one of the bachelor's degree programs listed by the State Commission and has been recommended for admission based on interview results.
– The applicant must be under 30 years of age.
– Proficiency in the Uzbek language is required.
