Rector Bahodir Kholikov`s congratulations on the 33rd anniversary of the national flag

Dear colleagues and esteemed students!

On this date thirty-three years ago, a pivotal moment occurred in the annals of our nation's political history: the enactment of legislation pertaining to our revered national flag.

Our ancestors, with their extensive history of statehood, held their flag in high regard as a symbol of freedom, power, courage, and victory. They displayed it with pride and held it in esteem.

In the world's two hundred plus countries, each has its own flag, reflecting the national values of its people. Our flag, too, reflects the aspirations of our ancestors, our people's faith in the future, and the bright prospects of future generations.

The display of our sacred flag on the global stage serves as a testament to the strength and determination of our nation.
When the Uzbekistan delegation visits foreign countries, the national flag is displayed on the streets and waved at international events. In particular, during sporting competitions, when our young athletes win and our anthem is played while our flag is raised, our hearts are filled with patriotism.

During national holidays and celebrations, the sight of the sacred flag fluttering above streets, parks, and grand buildings evokes a profound sense of gratitude.

In accordance with the stipulations set forth in our national legislation, all citizens of Uzbekistan, as well as other individuals residing within the country's borders, are obliged to demonstrate respect for our state symbols.

Dear educators, esteemed colleagues, and our esteemed youth, the future of our country!

On this auspicious occasion, I extend my sincerest congratulations to you all. May our nation's flag continue to fly high and proudly, may our country remain peaceful, and may our skies remain clear!

I wish each of you peace and tranquility in your families, abundance in your homes, and success in your studies and work.

With the utmost respect,

B. KHOLIKOV

Rector of Samarkand State University of Foreign Languages
