Cooperation of the department
The Department of Translation Theory and Practice has established close collaborations with national institutions, including the Uzbek State University of World Languages, Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature named after Alisher Navoiy, and translation departments at various higher education institutions across Uzbekistan.
Additionally, the department maintains active partnerships with the following international universities and organizations:

Several projects have been launched through these international partnerships:
Since 2017, the department, in collaboration with DAAD's "Go East" program, has organized summer and winter schools on "Uzbek Language and Culture" for international students, supported by German Academic Exchange Service funding.
From 2022 to 2024, in partnership with the U.S. Embassy in Tashkent, American Councils, and the Regional English Language Office, the department successfully implemented the “English Access Micro Scholarship Program” to enhance English language learning in secondary schools.
Senior lecturer T. Nasrullayeva participated in a seven-week (175-hour) professional development course for English teachers at Georgia State University (USA) as part of the Access Microscholarship program from June 12 to August 2, 2023, gaining valuable international experience.
In September 2023, a group of faculty members, including Associate Professor O. Kuldoshov, completed a study tour in Finland to explore the Finnish educational model.
From 2017 to 2021, the department collaborated with the University of Coruña (Spain), Adam Mickiewicz University (Poland), the University of West Attica (Greece), and other partner institutions on the Erasmus+ project “CLASS: Developing an Interdisciplinary Master’s Program in Computational Linguistics for Central Asian Universities,” which was successfully completed.
In accordance with the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-6108, dated November 6, 2020, titled "On Measures to Develop Education, Training, and Science in Uzbekistan's New Development Phase," and Resolution No. PQ-4884 "On Additional Measures to Further Improve the Education System," a collaboration has been established with schools No. 43-46 in Nurabad district of Samarkand region. This partnership aims to enhance teacher qualifications, inspire students to learn foreign languages, and increase their access to higher education. Key areas of cooperation include supporting teacher training initiatives, promoting interest in foreign languages among students, working with schools to develop measures for improving educational coverage, and organizing practical training placements for university students within these schools.
